Ever wanted to make your own Christmas crackers? We made some at Bookastall HQ a few years ago and they weren’t the best. Perhaps we should have taken ourselves over to a cracker making workshop…like this one which is taking place in London’s Covent Garden on 13th December. It’s a bit pricey, but a nice trip out if you’re not too far away. You’ll probably have to book soon as it’s likely to be popular
If you need some last minute costume ideas for Halloween, Etsy have you covered. We know what it’s like - you have all your plans to stay indoors and you suddenly get invited to a last minute party and have to find something which could resemble a costume of some description! Check out these ideas on Etsy which are all from UK sellers and ready to post within one day
Sticking with the Halloween theme (because, why not!) these pumpkin tealights caught our eye this week. You can paint them yourselves so they will fit in with whatever decor you have at home! They make very cute little gifts as well!
The D-Day Story in Portsmouth is hosting lots of half term activities to keep little people occupied, including a stitch drop-in where you can learn different embroidery stitches with an expert tutor. Lots of other museums and libraries are holding special events for half term so be sure to check out your local ones to see what’s happening there
The UK’s biggest craft fair is heading to Manchester this weekend so if you’re in that part of the country, head over to Victoria Baths for their 17th year! It’s running from Friday until Sunday, with more than 200 crafters, artists and designers showing off their wares.
