Hello and Happy Friday!
Wedding fairs are out in force - we’ve had more than a dozen listed this week. So if you’re recently engaged, or if your audience could be brides or grooms, check out the list below - they’re mostly in the midlands/south part of the UK.
We’ve also got a short user guide to exhibiting at wedding fairs for you at the bottom of this newsletter - get some tips and tricks for your next wedding fair!
Our next online craft fair is taking place on 16th and 17th December and is specifically for items which are already made and ready to post. People will be leaving their shopping to the last minute again, so if you’ve got items which are ready and can be posted immediately (or early the next day), this one is for you!
Welcome to our Bookastall Members - we’ve had several people sign up nice and early and lock in the lowest annual membership you’ll ever get. There’s still time if you’re unsure, and you’ll be able to see some of the post previews to help you decide if it’s for you.
We’ve also got some tips for attending your craft fairs over Christmas - scroll down for that.
🦋 Stallholders 🦋
Please do consider adding your business to our directory - you can do so from just £5 per year and you’ll be seen by over 2,000 people per week on our website! Plus, you’ll get listed here on our newsletter which is sent out to 10,000 people!
We have more than 50 crafters, so if you’re looking for someone to join your event, please do go and reach out to them!

Exhibiting at Wedding Fairs
Wedding fairs provide an excellent opportunity for crafters in the bridal industry to showcase your products and services directly to engaged couples. These events bring together a diverse array of businesses, from florists and photographers to cake designers and wedding planners, all under one roof. For exhibitors, wedding fairs offer a unique platform to connect with potential clients face-to-face, demonstrate their offerings, and build lasting relationships within the industry.
They also provide an excellent opportunity to network with other stallholders who might be able to recommend you and your products or services to their other clients.
To make the most of your exhibition experience, preparation is key. Start by creating an eye-catching booth that reflects your brand's style and the quality of your services. Consider incorporating interactive elements or live demonstrations to engage visitors and make your stand memorable.
Bring plenty of business cards, brochures, and samples of your work to distribute. Brides want to be able to visualise themselves with your product. During the fair, be approachable and ready to answer questions about your services and pricing. It's also wise to offer a special discount or package deal exclusively for fair attendees, as this can incentivise on-the-spot bookings.
After the event, follow up promptly with any leads you've gathered. Remember, many couples attend multiple fairs before making decisions, so a timely and personalised follow-up can set you apart from competitors. When you have been speaking to potential customers, try to jot down a note or two about what you talked about - the month or location of their wedding (if they have one), where they got engaged, or some other small detail. Brides all want their wedding to be personal - so if you can show attention to detail, it will help you stand out.
By approaching wedding fairs with enthusiasm and a well-thought-out strategy, you can significantly boost your business's visibility and client base in the competitive wedding industry.
Thank you so much for your continued support.
